Project Detail
SITE: Refinery
CONTAMINANTS: Hydrocarbons (Diesel)
COMMISSIONING: 2015-2017
Project Scope
Geostream launches its new range of continuous monitoring system for measurement of oil on the groundwater – NAPLsense®.
The system continuously monitors the depth of Light Non Aqueous Phase Liquids (LNAPL) and Groundwater to give real time data on the thickness of hydrocarbons on the groundwater. Capable of detecting a wide range of hydrocarbons from petrol, diesel, heavy oil and some DNAPL’s.
NAPLsense® can be installed as a single instrument or as a network of instruments across a site or linked to a common data processing unit. Each unit has to be connected to a power supply and data processing unit. It can also be installed with wells set up with pumping system, and can control or regulate other active product recovery systems.
The standard installation is ATEX II 1G certified for use in hazardous atmospheres.
The sensor can fit within monitoring wells from 50mm (2”) diameter or greater and be located above or below ground.
NAPLsense® has options for off-grid installations powered by solar/wind generators should your site be located in a remote location.
Multiple wells can be configured together to a common data processing unit. Options for exporting data include, Manual download from data processing unit using USB connection. Data set via email (daily/weekly etc.) with 3/4G mobile network.
Real time data retrieval via Internet enabled connection (4G/Wi-Fi/WAN) communication with other process equipment such as remediation plant.
Control Panel Data logger
The control panel and data logger will record the data and if required can send the collected data via a Wi-Fi or 4G network.
With systems available to rent or purchase and we will configure the system to your requirements. Geostream can also install any infrastructure required, such as; monitoring wells, well head chambers, below ground ducts and equipment compounds.
